David Bowie ala Ziggy Startdust warbling "Little Drummer Boy" with an almost comatose Bing Crosby. I don't even want to know how much blow the producer that dreamed this one up was doing.

Oh, Oh, Oh!!! - wait— that ridiculous War is Over song by John Lennon. Nothing makes me want to dive to the bottom of an oild drum of egg nog faster than hearing Yoko Ono screeching over a children's choir as they warble that inane chorus.

Holy Crap that Striesand version of 'Jingle Bells' is awful! My mom played that too and it drove us up a wall.

Another one that's painful is McCartney's "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time" or whatever the hell it is. I hate it for its ubiquity during the holiday season more than anything else.

It HAS to be the Paul McCartney "Simply Having A Wonderful Christmastime" -- makes me want to slam my head into the steering wheel every time it comes on in the car. Just horrifying! Total cheese!

Some Other Mike

ThatGuy: good recovery! I second both 'So This is Christmas' and Streisand's 'Jingle Bells' (some things, you just can't unhear).

While we're on the Bing Crosby kick..."Going My Way" single-handedly shifted 'Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ra' from barbershop classic to "audible battery acid", in my mind, and I'd rank it at least in the 6-10 range. While not directly a christmas movie, the christmas tie-in at the end counts, in my book.

Ooh ooh ohh! One more - Manheim Steamroller's "Carol of the Bells"

I'd rather drive upholstery tacks into my gums...

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson's duet of "Baby It's Cold Outside". I can't recall how or where I heard it, but wishing I hadn't hasn't stopped the pain.

I haven't heard the tune, but considering the perpetrators I'm willing to include it.
