Mike Huckabee has won more delegates tonight than Romney. McCain is outpacing The Anchorman in every state but Massachusetts. The candidate of conservative blowhards can't even beat McCain in the South. Romney might win California, but with Golden State delegates awarded proportionately, a victory there wouldn't matter as much as, say, McCain's winner-takes-all triumph in New York.

Looks to me like Huckabee should be calling for Romney to drop out, instead of the other way around.

I'll vote no matter what, but I won't vote for Romney if he's the GOP nominee. Nor will I vote for Hillary.

Romney by contrast has enormous energy and an appeal built on the future, not the past.  He can easily raise the money necessary to contest the next eight months until public financing takes over on 9/1, and he would easily best Obama in one-on-ones on television.

Romney has reassembled the Reagan coalition and may have done so just in time to save the GOP from lapsing into its pre-Reagan days.  If the Huck vote continues to dwindle at the rate it has been fading over the past ten days, tomorrow could have many surprises.

Romney thanked Rush, Sean, Laura, Mark Levin, Lars Larson and others among the conservative punditry for leading the rally.

PISS OFF ALL THE RIGHT PEOPLE. VOTE ACCORDINGLY.

I listen to talk radio so you don't have to. Besides, I enjoy getting mad.

Today I heard Sean Hannity crowing about an alleged Romney surge following his endorsement last week. And F*Hugh credits "the leadership of talk radio" for The Anchorman's improving poll numbers in California and Georgia.

Super Tuesday will tell us much about the influence of conservative idiot-logues.

Despite an onslaught of attacks (often misleading and unambiguously personal) from the right's chattering class, John McCain has triumphed in Florida. Confounding his many critics, McCain won convincingly in a closed primary -- only Republican votes counted, and he received almost 100,000 more than Romneytron. His nomination seems certain.

McCain already leads by 13 points in California and tops Romney in most other Super Tuesday states. The Bible Belt could be problematic, though McCain has a significant ally: Mike Huckabee.

While Rudy's endorsement is irrelevant at this point (as irrelevant as Florida's Democratic primary results), Huckabee retains some influence. Romney has no chance unless he attracts the voters currently aligned with Huckabee, and the Arkansas governor has made it clear he'll do whatever he can to deny The Anchorman.

McCain still must withstand a ruthless assault forthcoming from Romneytron and his allies in the conservative media -- betcha we haven't heard the last of this -- but for once, the odds are in his favor.

Most politicians are phonies, but The Anchorman is beyond transparent. Check out the guayabera shirt he wore while trolling for votes in Little Havana. Afterwards, Romney headed to South Beach, where he was spotted roller blading along Ocean Drive wearing nothing but a Speedo. The dark tan, he insisted, was real, just like his pledge to turn around the economy.

Hugh Romney (might as well make it official) has been calling McCain "Bob Dole without the charisma" for weeks. Not one to pass up a shrill talking point, Ann Coulter wrote yesterday that "McCain is Bob Dole minus the charm, conservatism and youth."

How 'bout this: Mitt Romney is John McCain minus the wit, authenticity and experience.

Once again the mainstream media has ignored a transformative movement in American politics. As witnessed in this video clip, Gov. Mitt Romney is making serious inroads within the black community. Watch the reaction he gets from these young urban voters. Watch how effortlessly he connects with them. He speaks their language, even referencing a popular minstrel song. Brilliant, if not moving. 

Now imagine John McCain around that same group. First he'd have to turn up his hearing aid. Then he'd start whistling "Oh Susannah" or some other out-of-date tune. And there's always the chance of a violent flashback.

You'll never get that from Gov. Romney, who continues to assert himself as the best presidential candidate in many lifetimes. He didn't serve in the military, but if he had I can assure you Romney wouldn't have been captured by the enemy. While McCain was grousing in some POW camp, Romney was turning a profit. There's no better experience for the Oval Office than being a CEO, as George W. Bush continues to demonstrate.

Regarding my original point, I see the governor competing effectively for the black vote. I'm guessing he gets a slight majority over Hillary Clinton, leading to a landslide of epic proportions. Granted, he won't beat Obama among blacks, but I could see Romney easily getting between 30 and 40 percent in that contest.

It's becoming clear to citizens in ghettos and country clubs alike: There's only one man who can lead us, and his name is Mitt Romney.
